Dr. Kessous

Dr. Kessous is board certified in both family and sports medicine. He completed his sports

medicine training at Harvard Medical School’s Children’s Hospital, in Boston. Dr. Kessous

received his medical degree from St. George’s University in 1999. He then completed a surgical

internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. After three years as a general and

orthopedic surgery resident at Tel Aviv Medical Center, he then returned to Boston to fulfill a

family medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Kessous is the founder and director of Montgomery Sports Medicine Center in Silver Spring,

MD with a second location in Gaithersburg, MD. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Kessous

is an appointed clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He

teaches sports medicine and orthopedic medicine to medical residents and students.

Dr. Kessous has extensive experience in both sports and orthopedic medicine. He was a team

physician for Major League Soccer, DC United. Dr. Kessous currently serves as the chief medical

consultant for the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC and is a team physician for the US

ski team.

Dr. Kessous has worked with various sporting events, including the Boston Marathon and the

AT& T USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. He has also worked with the Boston Ballet

dancers and Northeastern University ice hockey team.
